Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
Certificate In CCTV / Control Room Operations
A minimum 3 years’ experience working with security and safety with a Public Health organization
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
Knowledge of CCTV surveillance system, access control and procedures for the control room
Good negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
Report writing skills
Knowledge of security-related legislation such as:
Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act 53 of 1985
Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977
Miss and the Firearms Control Act
Knowledge of Labour Relations, PMDS, safety, and fire prevention
No criminal history
Work
- Oversee internal and contracted security personnel.
- Manage access controls and deny unauthorized access.
- Manage provision of safety and security across the department
- Conduct inspections, walkABOUTS and enforce security registers/SOP
- Manage observance of both internal and external security personnel
- View CCTV, alarms, turnstiles, and other electronic equipment
- Exercise key control and manage emergencies
- Identify security risks and threats, and report incidents
- Prepare reports and revise incident reports.
- Complete any other tasks assigned to security management.
