Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Basic knowledge relevant to road maintenance and construction
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Good planning and organising skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic numerical aptitude
- Computer literacy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates may be responsible for:
- Constructing and maintaining culverts and side drains
- Erecting and maintaining steel guardrails and gabions
- Assisting with road earthworks and layer works
- Cleaning and maintaining roads, sidewalks and rest areas
- Carrying out road surfacing and pothole patching
- Assisting with fencing and pipe-laying work
- Installing road markings and road studs
- Installing road signs, distance markers and barricades
- Assisting with crushing road construction materials
- Clearing bushes and cutting grass in designated work areas
