Minimum Requirements
To qualify for these EPWP Security Guard positions, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 9 qualification or equivalent
- Security Guard Qualification or Grade D Security Certificate
- Valid PSIRA Registration Certificate
- Police Clearance Certificate
- Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner
- Proof of Residence certified by a Ward Councillor
- 12 to 18 months of relevant security-related experience
Experience in the following fields will be advantageous:
- Security Services
- South African Police Service (SAPS)
- Military Services
- Private Security Industry
- Asset Protection and Access Control

- Protect pump stations, reservoirs and sewerage infrastructure
- Secure dams and water treatment facilities
- Safeguard municipal equipment and assets
- Prevent theft, vandalism and unauthorized access
