Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Fire Fighter I qualification
- Fire Fighter II with Hazmat Operations or equivalent
- SAQA-accredited qualification from SAESI or IFE
- Code C1 driver’s licence
- 0–1 year relevant experience
- No criminal record
- Ability to pass CPAT fitness assessment
- Ability to pass NFPA 1582 medical examination
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

- Knowledge of firefighting equipment and emergency procedures
Key Duties
Successful candidates will:
- Attend fire and rescue incidents
- Respond to hazardous material calls
- Operate and monitor the control room
- Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections
- Maintain fire station equipment and vehicles
- Participate in drills and inspections
- Support fire prevention strategies
- Deliver efficient firefighting and rescue services
